Sports Reporter JAMMU, Aug 1: With the end of 16 league ties scheduled for Jammu, the rest of the 30 matches of the league round shall take place in Kashmir after Eid in the Jammu and Kashmir Corporate Premier League (JKCPL). This was disclosed by one of the promoters and former first class cricketer, Abdul Qayoom while speaking to SAN. He said, "We have completed half of the league round of 60 matches by holding 14 games in Kashmir and other 16 in Jammu. The fresh schedule for the rest of the league matches, to be played after Eid, shall be announced very soon." Declared open by Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah on July seven, the League has started gaining momentum with teams struggling to make it to the next round. As per the available points tally, Surya Risers leads with 12 points out of nine matches played so far, including six wins and three losses. Similarly, Jumbo Gladiators also played nine games and trail behind with eight points gained out of four wins and five losses. However, TCI Cheetahs and Saifco Lions have same eight points out of five matches played so far. |
