| BJP expresses concern over foreigners settled in J&K | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 1: A meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party was held today at Narwal Bala and Rajeev Nagar to express concern over those foreigners who have settled in large number in Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting was held under the leadership of Rajeev Charak - State Convener Training Cell BJP and Baldev Singh Billawaria - State Convener Panchayati Raj Cell, Jaideep Sharma - Jammu District General Secretary BJP, Tarseem Choudhary - Gandhi Nagar Mandal President BJP, Ishant Gupta - State Secretary BJP Youth(BJYM), Hardesh Kumar Khokkher - State Secretary S.C Morcha BJP, Tarun Sharma - State Media Incharge BJP Youth(BJYM), Basheer Ahmed Khatana - President Muslim Morcha Bathindi BJP, Amit Gupta - Gandhi Nagar Mandal President BJP Youth (BJYM) and Ravi Sharma -Gandhi Nagar Mandal General Secretary BJP Youth (BJYM) were also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Rajeev Charak demanded a probe that how the large number of foreigners from Bangladesh, Burma and Myanmar are pouring in the troubled State. He claimed that a large number of Bangladeshis and Burmese have come and settled in the sensitive areas of Narwal, Ratti-Sarai, Bagh-e-Bahu, Bahu Fort, Kerni Tallab,Rajeev Nagar, Kassim Nagar, Dogra Hall and elsewhere in other parts of Jammu region and some are in the parts of Kashmir also. Charak said that it was a serious matter as these people are suspected to be indulging in criminal activitiesl. He also said that more than this some mysterious organizations are engaged in collecting funds for their help. Charak added there are already long pending problems of refugees and displaced people from Pakistan, POK, and even those of Kashmiri migrants whose number is in lakhs "but no such organization had ever come to support the unfortunate lot." He said that they will submit a memorandum to Divisional Commissioner Jammu soon. Baldev Singh Billawaria demanded that Government should issue a White Paper and answer that how these peoples settled in the state. Jaideep Sharma said that the Government has to answer how these peoples settled in J&K in presence of Article 370. Tarseem Choudhary appealed the residents of these areas to come forward and support us to fight for the cause. |
