| Glucose was safe: Asst Controller Drugs | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Aug 1: Assistant Controller Drugs Rajouri-Poonch RK Koul has claimed that the glucose that had allegedly killed a youth in Rajouri on July 28, as claimed by family members is safe. He further said that after the complaint lodged by hospital superintendent Dr Arun Sharma, some more samples were collected and were sent to combined drug and food laboratory for further check and fresh analysis. "The samples have been dispatched to combined drug and food laboratory for fresh test and analysis and report will be available within 15 days", he said. After complaint of reaction which, as said by the family members, resulted in the death of one Waseem Khan alias Sonu resident of Thanamandi, hospital superintendent has banned the supply of glucose, medicates, drip sets etc on July 28 to the patients admitted in the district hospital till these were declared safe by the Controller of Drugs. He further refuted the allegations that Wasim died due to reaction by the glucose and died in the hospital. |
