JAMMU, Aug 13: District Development Commissioner, Jammu, Ajeet Kumar Sahu, convened a meeting of district officers to review arrangements for Independence Day.
The meeting was attended by senior officers of all concerned departments.
The DDC directed the Police, Information, Education, Revenue, Municipality, Health, PHE PDD, SRTC, State Motor Garages, Youth Services and Sports authorities to ensure that all arrangements like sitting, barricading, transport, electricity, drinking water, security, medicare, PAS system, etc are put in place at the venue of the national celebration.
The DDC asked the concerned authorities to gear up men and machinery of their respective departments for proper maintenance of all necessary arrangements. The Fire Services Department was asked to ensure availability of sufficient number of fire tenders to meet any eventuality besides the Municipal authorities were directed to ensure proper sanitation. The PDD authorities were asked to illuminate all government buildings and offices.
The participants assured the chair that all arrangements would be made to make the national event a grand success. |
