Jammu, Aug 13: Amarnath yatra today resumed from Jammu base camp, three days after it was suspended following communal clashes in Kishtwar.
A fresh batch of 225 pilgrims left for Amarnath cave shrine in South Kashmir Himalayas from Bhagawati Nagar base camp here at around 0420 hours amid tight security, police said.
The new batch of pilgrims included 142 men, 43 women, two children and 38 Sadhus.
With today's batch, a total of 51,755 pilgrims have left for Amarnath so far from Jammu base camp.
