Following detention of lawyer, SI Ajay Sharma attached to DPL

Kathua, Aug 13: Sub Inspector Ajay Sharma was attached to District Police Line (DPL) after making alleged illegal detention president of Young BAR Association Atul Andotra when he was going to a case hearing in Labour Department at Kathua here today.
The Young BAR Association Kathua staged a protest demonstration at Mukharji Chowk Kathua. The protest was held following the detention of president of Young BAR Association while going to case hearing in labour department through restricted area covered under curfew near the Mukharji Chowk., above mentioned Sub Inspector had heated arguments the police officer slapped the lawyer and also detained him at Police Station Kathua. Soon the news reached to association members they protest against it and it was intervention of the DySP Kathua the matter was pacified.
Advocate Ranjit Thakur has condemned the administration not entertaining the professional I-cards of advocates considered as the curfew pass as assured by the Divisional Commissioner.
Youth Movement condemned the police action on the president of Young BAR Association Kathua.
