ET REPORT Jammu, Aug 13: Residents of Bakshi Nagar and surrounding areas has resolved unanimously to nominate S Hardev Singh of Bakshi Nagar as an independent candidate in the forthcoming District Gurudwara Parpandhak Commettee (DGPC) polls for Jammu West seat. In a meeting held here today they appreciated S Hardev Singh, as learned scholar, writer and spokesman on Sikhism and exuding faith in him they maintained that he is a better choice for the purpose of Gurudwara management affairs. The nominee has effectively presented the spiritual and socio-ethical concerns of Sikhism in different International Conferences/ Seminars and has hundreds of article and also some books on Sikhism in his credit, they added. They also resolved to reach out to the like minded main stream contesting groups and individuals with an appeal to have their support in favour of their candidate. Among those who attended this meeting included S Jatinder Singh Jolly, S Malvinder Singh, S Sardeep Singh, S Manjeet Singh, S Surinder Singh, S.
