Majalta, Sept 1: While chairing monthly meeting of Congress workers at Majalta, General Secretary, J&K Pradesh Youth Congress R S Pathania criticised the local administration for 'unleashing a worst reign of underdevelopment, mis-governance, corruption and administrative isolation in the area.' In a statement he said that the people living in the area are bereft of basic living facilities. Pathania has sought special package for developing Majalta 'as the old land is now scientifically-acknowledged as 'Pandavas' land it has vast potential for pilgrimage tourism, educational tourism and aesthetic tourism also.' "The people of entire state have immense faith in Pingla Mata, Chountara Mata, Aapshambhoo Temple at Khoon and Mansar and Surinsar lakes and Devi Bani temple at Manwal but no fillip is being provided from the government side for promoting and popularizing these shrines. The people are bereft of basic living facilities like drinking water, electricity, road connectivity, health care, animal-care, recreational, educational and other facilities," he added. Pathania sought a Sub-District Hospital for Majalta and an accidental hospital at Manwal. He also sought health sub-centres at Chor Panjian, Pathwar, Neeli, Parla Sundla, Tajoor and Chani. |
