| Naval Jawan killed in INS Sindhurakshak tragedy cremated at Davika Ghat | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur Sept 1: The last rites of the Ramnagar based Naval jawan , who was killed in INS Sindhurakshak tragedy , was on today performed with full military honour at Davika Ghat Udhampur. Thousands of people from the jawan's village and adjacent areas, Ngo's members and poltical leaders of different parties gathered at the funeral site to pay their respect to the departed soldier. Brother of deceased lit the funeral pyre amid chant of hymns and slogan "Kawel Rai Amar Rahe." According to brother of deceased Naval jawan his brother has joined navy in 2003 and got married in 2010 . He added that deceased had one baby his son. He added that his brother was missing from 18 August after the tragedy of INS Sindhurakshak and body of missing jawan was identified on 28th August only after matching the DNA sample of deceased with his brother. At Mumbai . He added that body of jawan arrived at Jammu airport in the afternoon today where from it reached Udhampur by road in army vehicle for conducting last rites . Meanwhile local UDC an Ngo president Parvesh Parihar has demanded inquiry in which circumstances 18 jawans on INS Sindurakshak lost lives after a musterious balst which took place on 18th August . He added that from the national security point of view it is necessary to ascertain that wether it is a accident or hand of some anti national outfits. |
