Jammu, Sept 1: Promotion is proving as a punishment for the newly promoted Master's Grade male teacher's who are adjusted in far-flung, inaccessible and above all militancy infested areas, said Jasmeet Singh Madaan, State President, JK Teacher's Welfare Association. Demanding their suitable modification, Jasmeet said that many Master's Grade teachers are adjusted in militancy infested areas like Dudu-Basantgarh, Gambhir Mughlan and Hattan Seri where one could not reach his home on week-ends too and in the prevailing surcharged security concern, the chances of being soft-target were also looming large in their minds. Fear psychosis is prevailing among these Master's Grade teacher's and some of them have also decided to forego promotion if their orders are not modified immediately as these teacher's have no option than to go on long leave until they get justice at the ends of administration, he said. He urged Deputy Chief Minister to intervene immediately and modify their orders in the larger interest of teacher's community before September 5, otherwise they would observe September 5as black day. |
