Sports Reporter SRINAGAR, Sept 1: First class cricketer, Adil Reshi today helped Khewa Kings to a fine 27 runs win over Kanwal Tigers in the Jammu and Kashmir Corporate Premier League (JKCPL) underway at Kashmir University ground, here today. Adil first hit a brilliant half century to help his side set 175 runs target for four wickets and then caused most of the damage to opponent batting line-up taking away four wickets. Adil made 56 runs off just 30 balls while Ishtiyaq Rasool and Hilal contributed 28 and 17 runs respectively. Arshid Khwaja and Jahangir Bakshi remained unbeaten with 36 and 27 runs in their respective accounts. From Kanwal Tigers, Mehjoor, Irfan, Parveez Rasool and Amir Sofi took the wickets. In reply, Kanwal Tigers bowled out for 147 runs in 19.3 overs to lose the tie by 27 runs. Hanan Mir remained top scorer with 29-ball 39 runs while Parveez Rasool and Mehraj Shiekh contributed 21 and 20 runs respectively. From Khewa Kings, Shahid Baba and Adil Reshi took four wickets each, followed by Ishtiyaq Rasool and Ashraf shared a piece each. For his match winning all round innings, Adil Reshi was obvious choice for man of the match prize. The prize for maximum sixes went to Ishtiyaq Rasool. |
