Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Oct 25: All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) has expressed shock over the death of a Sikh police driver who was killed after the vehicle driven by him came under heavy stone pelting at Palhallan-Pattan in Baramulla district on the day of Eid. In a statement, APSCC Chairman, Jagmohan Singh Raina said the death of Sikh policeman, Kanwal Nain Singh resident of Singhpora Kalan, is a matter of great concern for every Kashmiri. Jagmohan said that Sikh police driver was taking his Muslim police counterparts after offering Eid prayers and got trapped in the stone pelting thus leading to his death. He said people should restrain from killing unarmed local police men more so when they are on religious duty. "APSCC, no doubt, favors action and stern punishment against forces and police culprits who are killing innocent civilians and have always demanded and favored the immediate punishments for such innocent killings in J&K at all cost. We demand enquiry with respect to such inhumane killing of the Sikh policeman as the whole police party was unarmed and were coming back after attending Eid prayers," said Jagmohan. The APSCC chairman said such incidents are worrisome and said that people should remain vigilant about such incidents. He asked all the political leaders and pro Kashmir leaders to come so that consensus is built as how to move about in future.
