early times report Kathua, Oct 25: Capacity Building Programme on Forward Markets for PACS was organised in Kathua today by NABCONS. The programme was attended by Mahinder Singh, Chairman, JCCB, Jammu, Kapileshwar Dogra, Asstt. Vice- President, J&K Bank, Aman Kalsotra, DDM, NABARD, R K Kalsotra, LBO, Kathua, Kuldeep Kumar Malhotra, District Manager, JCCB, Kathua Dr. A P Singh, Subject Matter Specialist, KVK, Dr.Vishal Mahajan, Scientist, KVK, Dr. Brijesh Ajrawat, Scientist, KVK, and officer bearers of PACS. The office bearers and representatives from 6 PACS of JCCB, Kathua participated in the meeting. Speaking to the gathering Mahinder Singh, chairman, JCCB informed the bank that 100 branches of JCCB are operating in 10 districts of Jammu province. On this occasion, Aman Kalsotra, DDM, NABARD, Kathua explained the basic principals of hedging, speculation and arbitage. He dealt upon the issues of indian farmers in general viz. traditional cropping pattern, dependencies on monsoon, irregular flow of credit, adathiya system, stocking infrastructure and marketing. R K Kalsotra, LBO, Kathua informed that the house that Annual Action Plan for the year 2013-14 is `653 crores of which priority sector target were `429 crores. He asked the PACS secretaries to diversify their activities and avail credit from JCCB. |
