JAMMU, Oct 25: MLA Poonch Ajaz Jan today laid foundation stone of 6 km long Tractor/Fair-weather road from main road to Chaktro to Danna Doyia at Chaktro.
The foundation stone was laid in the presence of Sarpanches Shabir Ahmed,Ch Gani,Yaseen Ahmed,Bagh Hussain Rathore, Ch Shabir, Ch Bashir Ahmed and Mohd Latif. The link road which is to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 10 lakh, by RDD Department funds for which was provided by MLC Devinder Singh Rana out of his Constituency Development Fund (CDF). Reiterating the government's commitment to upgrade and strengthen the road connectivity in the state, Jan said that the Chaktro to Danna Doyia road would be constructed on a modern pattern adding that services of the road would go a long way in providing best connectivity services to the local people of Chaktro to Danna Doya.
Meanwhile In a major development in Poonch, several prominent citizens of Kuniya Panchayat in Block Poonch Block National Conference in the presence of Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ajaz Ahmed Jan all of them said that they joined the party yesterday only because MLA has done tremendous public works in their area.
The new entrants to the National Conference (NC) include Ch Mohd Sharif, Shafiq Ahmed, Ch Wajad Ahmed, Ch Ishtiaq Ahmed, Ghulam Mohd, Mohd Rashid Sheikh, Mohd Razaq Mir, Mohd Sadiq, Ab Hamid, Baryam Singh, Mohd Bashir, Mohd Bashir Mir, Lal Hussain, Munshi Mohd, Ab Samad Lone, Haji Gulam Ahmed and Raja Sheer Khan and others of Poonch Block have left their parties and joined National Conference. All of them collectively approached MLA Ajaz Ahmed Jan and announced their joining.
Speaking on the occasion, those who joined NC fold said that they have joined National Conference only for the MLA because he has done a lot for the area. |
