| 'Dictatorship' of coalition Govt harmful for common man: JKNPP | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, Oct 25: Alleging illegal detention of its two leaders without any valid reason, the Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) said today that the action on one hand is harmful for common man while on the other it reflects the dictatorial attitude of the State Government. Addressing a press conference at Vijaypur, the provincial President of JKNPP Rajesh Padgotra said that he along with another party leader Khajoor Singh were detained at Ramgarh Police Station while they were on their way to hand over a memorandum about the problems of border people to the Chief Minister, who was to address a public meeting at Abtal village. Padgora further said that the police action was unwarranted and an attempt to suppress the voice of the people adding that the JKNPP leaders had an honest intention of projecting the problems and plight of the border people, who are reeling under constant threat of unprovoked and heavy shelling by Pakistan troops. He said that detaining JKNPP leaders is a grave injustice with the people of the border areas and the dictatorial attitude of the government is highly condemnable. |
