Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 25: Like every years, the Junior Wing of KC Public School today celebrated Book Week to inculcate in students the love for reading books. Plethora of activities such as creative writing, bulletin board displays, cover page designs, vocabulary enrichment, storytelling sessions and story enactment were held in school. An interactive session was held by a professional. They told the students that books are our never- failing friends as they sharpen mental faculty, enrich vocabulary and help us to develop a life time hobby. It was indeed a very motivating talk. In this fast pace of life where electronic media has come to dominate, books seem to be losing its charm but we at KC Public School strongly believes that books play a very significant role in our lives so constant endeavors are made to keep the love for reading alive throughout the year in DEAR Time (drop everything and read). The Book exhibition by Scholastic was also organised and children seemed totally engrossed browsing the books before buying it. The Headmistress of school Sofia Rana appreciated the efforts of students and teachers in making Book Week a great success. |
