Akhnoor, Oct 25 : Asserting don't take woes of border people casually, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today has asked the State Government to take emergent steps to provide some relief to the border residents who have been facing hardship due to shelling. Addressing series of meetings in Gurha Brahamana, Devi Pur, Naadh, Muthi Marh, Chak Karpal Pur, Top Khalsa and others areas of Akhnoor assembly segment, PDP candidate for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha Constituency Yash Pal Sharma today said, "Displacement of people from border areas has been going unabated but no emergent step has been taken so far from government side." He said that instead of adopting casual approach state government should take steps on war footings to protect lives and properties of border inhabitants. "Omar Abdullah government was proved as liability on the state because this regime has failed to protect lives and properties of people, PDP leader said further adding, "State has been witnessing turbulent situation since 2009 after formation of this coalition regime. " He also added that an atmosphere of insecurity, anarchy and confusion prevailing in the state. Pin pointing that state government has failed to connect itself with the common masses, PDP leader said that instead of connecting with the common masses, the state government has been further complicating the situation through its mis-deeds and wrong doings. Ex-MLC Ved Mahajan, Hussain Ali Bafa, Deepinder Kour, Devinder Sharma and others also spoke on the occasion. |
