| Azad inaugurated University Campus Doda in 2008, but still not functioning | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Bhaderwah, Nov 16 : Union Health and Family Welfare Minister and former Chief Minister J&K Ghulam Nabi Azad is on a three day tour to Doda, Kishtwar belt and is busy in inaugurating several centers stores and other things. But what about those things which were inaugurated by the Minister in last five 6 years which are still non-functional.
An example which needs mercy in the region is the Doda Campus of University of Jammu, the doors of which are still closed and none in the last six years has tried to open this.
This University Campus which was inaugurated by Ghulam Nabi Azad then as a Chief Minister in the premises of Govt Higher Secondary School Boys Doda was assured that this Campus will start functioning in 6 months but as the six years have gone Azad never paid any attention to this Campus.
In this regard President All India Students Federation Com Mukesh Parihar who is struggling to get this Campus functional said "We have sent several memorandums to Ghulam Nabi Azad in last six years but never get any response. For this the student of Doda is struggling and our struggle would continue". He also said that Ghulam Nabi Azad made an eye wash on the name University Campus with the public especially with the student of Doda and will not be forgotten.
Same is the case about Lal Daraman (A tourist Place about 7 Km away fom Doda Town) which when Ghulam Nabi Azad was Chief Minister of the State announced the Lal Draman Development Authority in 2009 which never came to its functioning till date. In this regard Ex Deputy Commissioner Doda Farooq Ahmed Khan tried its best to explore this place by organizing a brand Fair annually.
Another major and transparent image of Ghulam Nabi Azad in the Distt is the Construction of Ganpat Bridge on River Chenab at Pull Doda which is still hanging midway.
These things have brought the Ghulam Nabi Azad in the circle of questions, and he in his three day tour to the region needs to give an introspect. |
