Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 16: The Directorate of Horticulture Planning and Marketing seems greatly influenced by the advertising agency. The agency projects women in vulgar styles to sell anything ranging from truck tyres to sanitary napkins. However, while the women, rather models have no issues with the advertising agency, some people rightly accuse it (agency) on laying emphasis on the sexuality of the model rather than on the quality of the product. In the same fashion, the above mentioned department has been issuing advertisements while the emphasis is laid on the concerned Minister than the project undertaken by the department. In the latest advertisement about a fruit mandi at Udhampur and Chenani, the Minister is seen walking and talking with the officials. This is terrible waste of public money. But who cares in this neglected land? As long as the Minister gets free publicity especially when the elections are around, the department and the officials stay happy. |
