| School teachers grace Cong rally, announce holiday for children | | |  Saahil Suhail
ANANTNAG, Nov 16: Congress rally was today graced by school teachers in Middle School Laln Ganoor at Anantnag.
They brought out furniture for the convenience of the Congress workers. According to those present in the rally, government teachers posted in Middle School Laln Ganoor at Anantnag today turned out to be Congress workers after they closed the school and announced a holiday for the children just to clap for the Congress leaders including the state head who addressed a public rally in the school premises.
Early Times found school closed while as its furniture including matting was used to accommodate party workers. Children from the same school in casual dresses were also present in congress rally. Near about twelve in the number including five female, teachers of this school were also present in the rally and were seated in the last rows just to hide themselves from the camera.
During the day teachers besides clapping for congress leaders, they were also found directing its students to bring tea and other eatables from their homes and hence enjoyed a day. A student of the area who was himself present in the rally told ET that they were conveyed yesterday that the school will remain off because of the rally.
A teacher, whose identity couldn't be ascertained told ET that no one will harm them as the higher ups of the department has been informed by the Congress leadership.
Director School Education, when contacted assured action. "Right now I have no information but as you informed me I will look into the matter." He said.
