One held with 24 kg poppy straw 11/17/2013 10:39:24 PM ET REPORT JAMMU, Nov 17: Police today seized 24 kg of Poppy Straw (Bhukki) from a van at Sunjwan Morh here today. According to reports, based on specific information a party of Police Post Narwal laid a surprise naka at Sunjwan Morh. During checking of the vehicles, police stopped one van bearing registration No JK02D- 7596 driven by Nitan Sharma, son of Suraj Parkash of Kunjwani Talab Gangyal and recovered 24 Kg of poppy straw from his vehicle. The van is on its way from Kunjwani to Jammu. The accused driver is in police custody and vehicle was seized.
