Jammu, Nov 17: Giving a damn to the CM Monitoring Cell set up by Chief Minister himself in 2010 to monitor the work progress of major projects being carried out across the state, at least 57 Action Taken Reports (ATR) out of 101 projects sought by Cell from various government departments are still pending since its inception. Sources told Early Times that more than 101 projects, being carried out through different departments, have been monitored by CM Monitoring Cell in last three years and received only 44 ATRs so far against the report sent to respective department. "After every physical verification of project, Cell had to prepare its report consisting of observations and findings and giving its remarks viz a viz suggestions, advices and send back a copy of the report to the concerned department for taking immediate action on those aspects of the project and demand Action Taken Report (ATR) to the cell within stipulated time period," they said. The projects which had been monitored by the Cell till date belonged to 17 government departments, they added saying that it had received only 44 ATRs till date leaving 57 ARTs pending. The maximum 25 projects of Road and Building Department were monitored by the Cell and out of which only 15 ATRs have been received and 10 ATRs are pending. Likewise 10 ATRs are pending out of 18 projects of Health and Medical Education Department, 10 ATRs are pending out of 19 projects from Public Health Engineering (PHE). Besides, the other departments which have pendency of ATRs sought by CM Monitoring Cell are Power Development Department (PDD), Tourism and Culture Department, Technical Education, School Education Department, Higher Education, Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Housing and Urban Department, Law Department, Hospitality and Protocol, GAD, Industries and Commerce, Agriculture and Rural Development Department. Sources further revealed that Cell had sent at least 2-3 reminders to maximum departments for submitting their ATRs with the Cell so that report could be reviewed again. |
