JAMMU, Nov 17: Police foiled a bovine smuggling a bid by rescuing16 bovines and arresting one person, who was transporting the bovines from Nagrota to Srinagar, at Nagrota Bye Pass here today. According to police sources, based on reliable information, a party of Police Station Nagrota laid a surprise naka at Nagrota Bye Pass and intercepted a truck bearing registration number HR 58- 2377. During search of the vehicle, police rescued 16 bovines while seized the truck and arrested its driver. The arrested driver of the vehicle was identified as Bittu Ram, son of Gyan Chand of Chander Kote. A case 341/13 U/S 188 RPC, has been registered at Police Station Nagrota, Jammu was registered and further investigation of the case is going on. |
