JAMMU, Nov 16: The junior wing of KC Public School today celebrated its 4th Nimble Feet Fitness Fest. It was the culmination of many days of preparation. It began with an eclectic mix of joy, excitement and fervor. The chief guest for the mega event was Kiran Wattal, the Municipal Commissioner of Jammu. The Programme started with a welcome speech by the Headmistress, Sofia Rana and followed by an invocation to goddess saraswati through graceful movements of Kathak dance. An abundance of energy was visibly manifest in all the other displays comprising of aerobics, Yoga, Taekwondo, PT and roller skating. Each display sparkled with finesse and charm. The sporting events began with fun races like lemon race, donning Papa's shirt and 50 metre sprint. It was a moment of great elation and celebration for the winners. The most exciting event was the Tug-of-War between House teams which exhibited stamina and energy of the participating children. In the concluding prize giving ceremony, the Chief Guest gave away medals and certificates to the winners. In his address to the gathering of parents and students, he said that sports are an integral part of education and help in developing the overall personality of a student. |
