| AISF opposes JU for semester scheme, raises suspicion | | | Doda, Nov 17 : All India Students Federation (AISF) has opposed the new semester scheme of Jammu University, which the University has recently decided to start the Scheme to all its affiliated Colleges from next session. AISF Doda-Kishtwar Region President Comrade Mukesh Parihar said that it is very hard to implement this Semester Scheme to the College of Jammu University which are under Winter Zone as in these Colleges about two and half months remains winter vacations and after this the examination session lasts for 2-3 months and followed by the declaration of result for 2 months and then admission procedure and all this cost the Winter Zone Colleges to remain out of classes for 7 months. He raised the question then how the University will carry out the semester system in these colleges. Moreover he said that 70% of the staff of these colleges are appointed on contract bases and sometime many teachers refuses to join the duties which causes a more halts to the studies of the Students. He appealed to Vice Chancellor Jammu University Prof MP Singh Isher to cancel this Scheme so that the Student could not suffer as already the students have remained the victims of many wrong polices of the University. |
