Srinagar, Nov 17: Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) leadership today met State Congress President Saif-u-Din Soz and appealed him to take up the demands of employees with government. A group of government employees headed by JCC leader Abdul Qayoom Wani met Soz at his residence and during the meeting Soz reportedly assured them that he would once again take up the matter with the Government so that their long pending demands could be accepted.
Sources said that it was an unofficial meeting during which several matters were discussed. When contacted, one of the JCC leaders said the meeting was unofficial and he can't comment on it.However, another leader of JCC said that employees want to build up pressure on the government and are using different channels to pressurize the government. "The meeting with State Congress President was a success and hopefully Soz Sahab would help to settle down all issues between the government and the employees," he said. |
