Jammu, Nov 17: Children's day was celebrated in the Air Force School, Jammu with great gusto and enthusiasm. Each year this day is celebrated in school to remember Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru and to cherish the love he had for children. Teachers of Air Force School had prepared a special assembly for children. Ria Jamwal, Head Girl of the school talked about the importance of the day. The programme began by the welcome address by Vikesh Sandhal ,Principal Air Force School. He stressed the need to recognize the talents of and said that children are "storehouse of potentialities". He also quizzed the students with interesting questions. This was followed by a patriotic group song by teachers of the nursery wing. To tickle the brains of children some fun riddles were also asked. Prizes to winners were ditributed by the principal. Student of the month was bagged by Aakriti Sharma of class XI-A and Shubam Aggarwal got the student of the month boys. In his address Air Commodore P.E.Patenge YSM VM , Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Jammu extended his best wishes to students on children's day and hoped that children get inspiration from great minds of the world. The day was marked by distribution of sweets and biscuits to the children of the school. |
