Jammu, Nov 17: Bahu Fort Development Committee (BFDC) today reiterated its demand of establishment of Shrine Board for Mata Maha Kali Temple (Bawe Wali Mata) for providing better facilities to the devotees and warned the state government to conceive the same before ending this year or be prepare to face public wrath. A meeting of BFDC was today held at Pacca Talab Bahu Fort under the chairmanship of its president Rajeev Charak wherein a large number of volunteers were present and they later warm welcomed and felicitated his spokesperson Ishant Gupta on being nominated as new Jammu district president, BJYM (BJP Youth Wing). Addressing the meeting, Charak said, "We have been demanding Shrine Board for Mata Maha Kali Temple for developing facilities as well as Bawe Wali Mata Temple since 1999 but the government has so far has paid no heed to the matter," alleging, "There is some conspiracy to put the demand on back burner to save the interest of a particular family (priests of the temple), who looted the wealth of temple with impunity for years." Charak further alleged, "There is some unconstitutional understanding between sitting MLA of the area and the family (local priests) who hell bent to press the demand for last so many years" He said, "Now time has come to revolutionize the agitation and for this BFDC knock the door of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and recently discus the matter with J&K BJP prabhari, Avinash Rai Khanna (MP), who assured party's full support with the cause, adding that, "if BJP will bring the matter in un coming session of state Legislative assembly then BFDC formally merge with the party." Charak appealed to Governor of J&K, N N Vohra to look into the matter and constitute Shrine Board so that the development works could take place and Bawe Wali Mata Mandir becomes an attractive tourist place at the earliest otherwise thousands of BFDC volunteer ready to forcibly took the possession of said temple before welcoming next years and government is responsible for all the consequences. While addressing, Ishant Gupta - Jammu District President called on all the volunteers to participate whole heartedly in BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's rally on December 1 at M.A.M Stadium, Jammu and make the event a success. Others who were present on the occasion included Hardesh Khokher, Sher Singh Khokher, Sourabh Sethi, Rahul Gupta, Ankush Khajuria, Eshant Mahajan, Sukhwinder Singh, Naresh Kumar, Yash Nargotra and others. |
