Jammu, Nov 17: On the occasion birth celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev, several Sikh youths today held a protest demonstration against district administration alleging its failure to provide basic facilities on this auspicious day.
They also alleged that departments like Public Health Engineering (PHE), Power Development department (PDD) never bothered to provide uninterrupted supply of drinking water and electricity during Gurpurav celebrations. The protest led by Tazinder Singh burnt the effigy of the district administration in front of Gurudwara Chatti Patshahi in the heart of the old city and alleged that being a minority community officials of the district administration never bother to extend their co-operation. |
