Kathua, Nov 17: As a part capacity building of rural youths, Nehru Yuva Kendra Kathua today organized an awareness programme for Youth at Shri Parshu Ram Dham Mandir, Gurah Mundian. In order to address the issues related with Youth Health, Employment, Youth Development, Promotion of Horticulture, Gender discrimination, Banking, Self-employment, stop crime against women the awareness programme was organized. Over 65 youths hailing from various youth Clubs and Mahila Mandals participated and motivated to undertake various developmental, employment and social welfare activities through youth clubs and Mahila Mandals. On the occasion, Yogesh Sharma, Additional Superintendent of Police, Kathua in his address to youth both male and female to come forward to change the mindset of our society for discrimination against girl child and women and also commit crime against girl child and women. He assured all sort of assistance from police to stop crime against women and women should adopt zero tolerance against any crime and take assistance of police. Community Health officer Om Parkash Sharma delivered lecture on prevention of female foeticide, Youth mental ailments and their treatments, and drug abuse etc.
