| Anganwari centre deserted by officials | | | Early Times Report
Bani, Nov 23: Residents of far off Panchayat Chandal of Bani have lodged a strong protest in the panchayat under the leadership of sarpanch Brij Lal against the deteriorating condition of aganwari centre which is locked for the last three years in village Machua, due to which the small kids are suffering at large. The residents who joined the protest were Mohan Lal, Puran Chand, Som Raj, Rakesh Kumar, Abdul Rashid Mistry, Mohamad Rashid Mistry, and several others who criticized the district administration and concerned ICDS handling department for failing to take serious action on the locking of an Anganwari for the last three years. While speaking to the media Sarpanch Brij Lal said that this was the alone Anganwari center which has the capacity of fifteen kids but since last three years it is total locked and no worker, no helper and other concerned employee have been seen in this centre. They said this area is too far off from district head quarter and this factor is very intelligently utilized by the concerned officer and general employees to stay away at their homes and even the whereabouts of ration share of this centre is still mystery as to where it goes, and who consumes it. The resenting residents demanded a vigilance inquiry not only of this centre but the entire centre which are shown by administration as running across the far-off areas of Bani. They said the people of Bani have a doubt that some scandal may be unearthed in connection of aganwaris because this area is fully ignored and kept away from any focus. |
