Jammu, Nov 23: K R Suri, General Manager, Power Grid-II delivered a lecture to students (Electrical branch) of Govt College of Engineering and Technology Jammu at Kishenpur Substation. According to press release, the young Engineers were provided technical knowhow on functioning of Grid Stations and various equipments constituting Grid Stations. They were apprised of functioning and latest trends in development of equipments with modern technique being followed for trouble free services. The lecture was followed by visit of Students to the Kishenpur substation which is the predominant station evacuating power coming from Punjab, Baglihar, Dulhasti, Chamera, Salal and Transmitting to the Kashmir Valley and Jammu Region. Kishenpur Substation is the largest pooling Grid station of Jammu and Kashmir having 630 MVA Capacity, where also extension work of 315 MVA is in progress and to be commissioned shortly. |
