Kathua, Nov 23 : Member Legislative Council (MLC) Subash Gupta today appealed the teaching fraternity to impart quality education to the students enabling them to face future challenges. Gupta, while addressing the Annual Day Function at Bhartiya Vidhya Shishu Mandir in Hirangar said such occasion not only provides students to exhibit their hidden talent, but also introduce them with the culture and heritage of the state. Gupta said Government is making all out efforts to upgrade the educational infrastructure across the state by opening and upgrading scores of schools. He asked the teachers to remain regular in schools and provide quality education to students to transform them into good citizen of the country. The MLC lauded the organizer for presenting a scintillating cultural bonanza on the occasion. He said in addition to the strong academic basis, the students should be groomed in various extracurricular activities including sports. He said that the students of present times are gifted by nature with extra ordinary intelligence and the teachers have to play an important role in exploring the hidden talent of the students. The students of different classes presented a scintillating cultural programme on the occasion. Onkar Chand Sharma, Durga Dass Sharma, I.D. Gupta, Sai Dass Gupta, Pardeep Kumar, Ram Lal Sharma, Jagdev Singh, Sanjay Kumar and large number of students and people present on the occasion. |
