Jammu, Nov 23 : Police today arrested one person and seized 40 Pouches of illicit liquor from Bus Stand Udhampur, police said.
As per police reports a police team during the surprise checking of suspicious persons near Bus Stand Udhampur near Town Hall intercepted a man who tried to escape from police naka making plice more suspeciopus about his activities.'
"Police during personal frisking and thorough search of belongings of said suspicious person recovered 40 pouches 250/250 ML of illicit liquor which were being smuggled for illegal sale in his native village i.e Birwan, police said.
Police said the accused who was arrested on spot has been identified namely as Lal Chand S/O Dukli Chand R/O Chaki Bank Pathankote Punjab at present Birwan Bridge Udhampur.
In this connection, a Case FIR No. 378/2013 U/S 48A Ex. Act stands registered at Police Station Udhampur . |
