Kathua, Nov 23 : Seeking establishment of Gojri and Pahrai Research Centre in Jammu University and to revoke the rustication of students belonging to PSA and Gujjar Bakarawal Association, who are observing fast unto death strike for the last 4 days outside Jammu University, Progressive Students Association (PSA) members today staged protest demonstration in front of Boys Higher Secondary School Kathua. The protesting students urged the Vice Chancellor of Jammu University to leave the adamancy towards the students and take aback the decision of rustication order of the students, who have been fighting for the establishment of Gojri and Pahari Research Centre in Jammu University and rights of the students in democratic and peaceful manner. "The ban on the PSA and rustication of the students both actions of Jammu University is the reflection of undemocratic and oppressive approach of the VC towards the students, he must not behave with theses students like this because these students are also like his own kith and kin, he must be more rational and reasonable in his approach", the protesters said. |
