Jammu, Nov 23: Parents of some meritorious students, who had secured positions in board examinations, have appealed Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to investigate the Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE) exam scandal through Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), so that the credibility of institution should be restored. According to statement issued, the parents said that it was a matter of shame for all those responsible for selecting such officers, who played with the career of brilliant students. "How can the nation/our state will flourish in eradicating health hazards, construction of projects when these officers produce incompetent , inefficient candidates on the basis of extraneous and pecuniary basis", they said.They further said that the instant case highlighted by the media was an eye opener for the public in general and the students community in particular. "Mushtaq Ahmed Peer had been performing the duties of the Chairman for last so many years with successive extensions for perpetuating his nefarious activities on consideration of money", they said. |
