Jammu, Nov 29: To create awareness among the masses on the theme of prevention of HIV, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan in close coordination with State Aids Control Society, Jammu and Kashmir Government presented spell bound thrilled cultural performance at Border Village Makwal of Distt Jammu. M L Dogra former Regional Director of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India was the chief guest and Sarpanch Yog Raj and K.L.Verma ,renowned artiste and disciple of was the guest of honor . M.L.Dogra in his speech exhorted the youth to reach every nook & corner to mobilize people the ill effects of AIDS/ HIV infection for building stronger nation. Lauding the role of J&K state Prevention Control society and BLSKS for taking up the project jointly in border areas of Jammu district for improving overall health status of the people, Yograj appreciated the efforts of renowned artists by designing and presenting cultural programmes comprising of skits, songs and dances to achieve the objective of the programme. He further said such type of live folk, musical pogrammes would go a long way in mobilizing the people effectively. Earlier during the special campaign the Troupes of Bhartiya Lok Sangit Kala Santhnan Jammu presented the thrilled performances' at Kendrya Vidyala Miran Sahib,.and Vice Principal Sushma Janin was chief guest and appreciated the artistes for commendable performance on HIV. BLSK also presented the cultural programs at Village Phallan Mandal ,Kirpalpur,.Simble Camp ,Bhore Camp ,Alora and Sohajna. to achieve the objective of the programme. He further said such type of live folk, musical pogrammes would go a long way in mobilizing the people effectively. The songs like "Zan-Zan-Zan , HIV Rog Zan , "Savdhan Sav Dhan" Kariya Na Karya Na and Short Play Nai Chetna were staged in addition to the folk music cultural programs by the renowned artistes of Jammu province M.C. Kotwal, K.K.Joshi, Usha Handoo, Kamli ,Neelam and Hem Raj were present Archana, Kuldeep presented the cultural programme .M C Kotwal, General Secretary conducted the programs. |
