Undermine importance of Sangh, ticket aspirants trying to get blessing of senior leader's wife | Cong culture creeps into BJP | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 29: Following their failure to come up to the expectation of party leadership, two BJP leaders, aspiring to get mandate for Lok Sabha elections, are desperately trying to utilize influence of Sangeeta Jaitely to get party tickets. Sangeeta Jaitely is wife of BJP stalwart Arun Jaitely who is one of the members of BJP Parliamentary Board which would decide mandate for the party candidates. During a function which was held to observe death anniversary of late Congress leader Girdhari Lal Dogra these two BJP leaders crossed all limits of sycophancy to be in the good books of Sangeeta Jaitely, who is daughter of Girdhari Lal Dogra. The function organised by Girdhari Lal Dogra Trust was a non-political function but the same was dominated by Congress and National Conference leaders but these two BJP stalwarts availed this opportunity to mark their presence in this function. Insiders in the BJP said that these two stalwarts have realized that they have been exposed before party workers due to their conduct. Instead of convincing grass root workers to influence high command to get mandates, these two leaders have decided to adopt short cut methods. They realized that instead of convincing leadership and workers to get mandate it is better to get blessing of Sangeeta Jaitely for party tickets. During the death anniversary function of late Girdhari Lal Dogra, these two leaders were behaving like staunch followers of late Dogra despite the fact that erstwhile Jan Sangh leadership including Sher-e-Duggar Prem Nath Dogra and another Jan Sangh stalwart late Thakur Baldev Singh, throughout their lives, had fought Girdhari Lal Dogra politically. Interestingly before emergence of Arun Jaitely in the political hierarchy of party, BJP leaders never participated in the function which were earlier observed for death anniversary of late Girdhari Lal Dogra. The tickets aspirants in BJP have been trying to inculcate Congress culture in the party by managing intervention of family members of senior party leaders in ticket distribution. By managing blessing of family members of senior party leaders, these two stalwarts of BJP wants to give a clear message to the party leadership as well as Sangh Parivar organisations that they don't care for party ideology or work and they have their own ways to manage the things. |
