Jammu, Nov 29: Questioning the rumours in air that expelled seven BJP MLAs are being merging in the party, the Shiv Sena (SS) state unit today staged a protest demonstration at Domana seeking clarification from Narendra Modi how he will get them (expelled on alleged charged of corruption) merged within party when he is fighting against corrupt practices Holding portraits of BJP's Prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, activist of state unit of Shiv Sena (SS), led by president Ashok Gupta, amid slogans against the BJP expelled MLAs sought clarification from BJP and Modi why they are seeking merger of MLAS shunted out from party after their alleged involvement 'cross voting' scam. Pertinent to mention here that BJP high command had expelled them for indulging in cross voting in April 13, 2011 elections to six seats of Legislative Council in favour of ruling National Conference and Congress candidates. BJP candidate, Ranjit Singh had polled four votes even as the BJP had 11 MLAs. Speaking on the occasion Gupta criticized expelled senior BJP leaders and sought clarification from party and Modi as well. He said that the expelled BJP MLAs were facing corruption charges and how he (Modi) will justify his crusade against corruption if he accommodates seven expelled MLAs allegedly expelled from party on corruption charges. He also questioned how party justifies its coalition within Jammu Municipal Corporation and the National Conference's alliance during National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in which Omar Abdullah was offered a rank of union minister however later he (Omar) regretted his decision to be the part of NDA. |
