| 3 burglary cases worked out, one held | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Dec 2: Police today apprehended a burglar during a naka at Beral Tehsil Billawar who was wanted in number of burglary cases by P/S Billawar, police said. Police added that with the arrest of the accused three burglary cases registered at above said police station has been worked out besides recovery of valuables and gold ornaments worth Rs one lakh. Police said, "Identified namely as Mohd Sadiq S/O Mohd Shafi R/O Maggar Khad Tehsil Kathua who was wanted in number of burglary cases by P/S Billawar.' Acting on the specific instruction issued from SP Kathua to work out the property cases, police said further adding, "Police Party of Police Station Billawar during a naka duty at Beral Tehsil Billawar apprehended one notorious thief Mohd Sadiq of Maggar Khad Kathua who was wanted in number of burglary cases by P/S Billawar.' Police said during the course of sustain interrogation the accused confessed his criminal activities and admitted his involvement in number of burglaries in Billawar/adjoining areas mainly at shops. "On his disclosure, stolen items amounting to Rs. 1 Lakh including golden ornaments of Rs. 30,000/-, Seven mobile phones, 1 electronic weighing machine, 01 handy gas cylinder, 01 SIM card (Reliance),01 Memory card and cash Rs. 4500 have been recovered, police said. Police added that with the arrest of the subject, 03 burglary cases registered at P/S Billawar during the current year are almost worked out while some more recoveries are expected in the near future as some associates of subject are absconding and efforts are going on for their arrest. |
