Avinash Azad JAMMU, Dec 2: Vindicating the popular belief that the Corporations of the state government have been used by the politicians and the bureaucrats to accommodate their relatives and blue eyed. 11 employees of understaffed State Finance Corporation are on deputation and eight retired officers are enjoying re-engagement in cash starved corporation. Well placed sources in the SFC informed Early Times that under political patronage the above said employees have been enjoying benefits of deputations and re-engagements. "Being close to senior NC leader, who is also a Cabinet Minister, DGM, SFC, Bashir Ahmad, is on deputation to J&K Assembly for years together. Moreover, Manager of SFC, Y K Kapoor is enjoying at personal section of MoS Co-operative, since July 16, 2009 on deputation basis", sources said. They further added that Puran Chand, has been working as senior assistant at DC office Ramban, since December 12, 2006. "Bashir Ahmad Ganai Junior Assistant is on deputation at Tehsildar, Charar-e-Shrief Budgam since July 4, 2007 and Abdul Gani Sharegujri, Senior Assistant is on deputation to Secretary, SSB, Srinagar, since June 2, 2008", the sources revealed. Sources further said that astoundingly, not only the senior officials of SFC were influential but even four peons have also been enjoying deputations to their native towns, since December 28, 2006. "Shakeel Ahmad Khan (Peon) is presently at the office of DC Ganderbal, Chail Singh (Peon) on deputation at DC Ramban, Ab Rashid Magaray at DC office Ganderbal and Riyaz Ahmad Padder at DC office Kulgam", sources said, adding that Imtiyaz Hamid Ganai Junior Assistant was on deputation to Information Commission. They further said that the SFC has become transit-camp for blue eyed officials, who joined the Corporation, for further going to deputation at their favorite departments. "Most recently, son of MD, SFC has joined the Corporation as Techno Economic Analyst (TEA) but within a month of his confirmation at SFC (ie March 2013), the blue-eyed candidate was sent on deputation to Power Development Corporation", they said. Moreover, the management of bankrupt SFC has also re-engaged its retired loyalists on huge monthly salary. "KK Sawhney, is re-engaged on consolidated salary of Rs 26,000 per month on January 2011, Pawan Kumar on monthly salary of Rs 26,000 per month, reengaged on February 2011, Qazi Altaf Hussain @ Rs 28,000 per month, re-engaged on December 2011, SK Raina @ Rs 34,000, Amarjit Singh @ Rs 8,000, KS Slathia @ Rs 30,000, Vinod Trail @ Rs 30,000 and Ab Ahad Shah @ Rs 14,000 are also re-engaged", sources said. They further said that most of re-engaged officials were facing corruption charges during their earlier tenure at SFC, but their close allegiance to their political masters, has rehabilitated them again to bankrupt SFC. "These Corporations have become bankrupt only due to corrupt practices of management of Corporations but every time the blame was put on employees that they are not working", an employee pleading anonymity said, adding that it was the faulty policies and interference of politicians in the Corporations, which have ruined the same. |
