Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 15: The traffic Signal light, broken by some unknown vehicle has been left abandoned for the last two months by the authorities, which is inviting accident near Janipur police station.
The Traffic Signal light installed at Roop Nagar Chowk, near Janipur Police station was hit by some unknown vehicle during night in October this year and the poll was damaged badly. But the administration, instead of repairing it, has removed the traffic signal from the crossing.
The damaged pole which was covering more than 4-feet road, was removed by the authorities after about a month and after that no traffic signal was installed on that spot. "It was broken around two months back, but the authorities seem to be taking it otherwise and instead of repairing it, has removed the traffic signal light. They must be waiting for a big tragedy," said Rahul Gupta, a shopkeeper at Roop Nagar. "There is no lighting here, so during night hours, the commuter cannot see this broken pole, many of the bikers get injured due to this broken pole," he added.
