Jammu, Dec 15: In yet in another brazen abuse of selection process, the committee constituted by the State Financial Corporation (SFC) to conduct interviews for various posts advertised by it has conducted interviews by- passing written test. Well placed sources informed Early Times that for the post of Assistant Audit Officer (AAO), Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO), Techno Economic Analyst (TEA) Junior and Small Branch Officer (SBO), 9 out of 13 shortlisted candidates were selected. Smelling a rat in the entire process, a candidate who was in waiting list informed Early Times that the selections were made on viva and interview basis. "A five members committee comprising Dr Nissar Ali (Director in Board) as Chairman, Special Secretary Nominee from Finance Department as member, AGM nominee from SIDBI as member, General Manager, JKSFC as member and Chief Manager (P&A) SFC as member secretary conducted interviews", the candidate said preferring anonymity. He further alleged that Managing Director, SFC had also influenced selection committee to select his son in process. "Two members of the committee namely GM and Chief Manager (P&A) were employees of corporation and can be influenced by MD", he said, adding that for the similar posts, Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (PSC) a supreme body also holds written test before conducting interviews. He further said that such practices adopted by the MD, SFC are responsible for bankruptcy of corporation. "The selection was made in the lieu of hefty amount, as some candidates who even failed to complete their degrees were selected for purported revival of corporation", he alleged. MD's unfair sincerity towards Corporation can be gauged from the fact that instead of conducting DPC, the management promoted newly appointed officers. "MD has ignored contribution of those employees, who have been working for eight to 10 years with various capacities in the corporation", said employee wishing secrecy. |
