ASCCF demands reservation in Assembly elections

Kishtwar: All Scheduled Caste Community Forum (ASCCF) Kishtwar today demanded reservation in assembly election of both constituencies vis Kishtwar and Inderwal for SC community in upcoming state assembly elections.
While addressing the media persons, President of the Forum Hans Raj Baghat said that despite having 30% SC population in Inderwal Constituency and 25% in Kishtwar constituency, the government fail to work for the upliftment of the community who is living in miserable condition.
He said that the community is lacking behind on all fronts and added that only reservation of the constituencies in upcoming elections can help the community to overcome the problems faced by the people of SC community.
He also rack up the issue of discrimination with Jammu province with regard to number of parliamentary seats and said that despite having more voters in Jammu province, Srinagar province has three parliament seats while Jammu has only two seats. Later all the participants held a details meeting in which the speakers highlighted the various problems faced by the people of the community.
