Jammu, Dec 15: Birth anniversaries of Lala Hans Raj Mahajan and Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan were celebrated at Mahajan Sabha today. It all began with the lighting of the traditional lamp and this was done by the veteran leader Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta who is a sitting MLA of Jammu West. This particular function was also attended by, MLA West and special guests for the function Subash Gupta, MLC, Naresh Kumar Gupta MLC, Ved Mahajan former, MLC, Rattan Lal Gupta (former, MLC) and TR Gupta Chief Patron.
Vinod Gupta, the president Central Mahajan Sabha CMS said that he was proud that the Mahajan community was doing it is fine and it is all for the nation in particular too. There were songs sung and the music was great. All songs were being hummed after the function was over. By the way very few know as to what they are attending and very few remember as to what legacy is all about. It is all about the foundations that the great men laid for us.
After this several people were honored who have done great service for the humanity and futuristics of Jammu and Kashmir. Vijay Gupta, Editor-in Chief, Director Chardikla (J&K), Media Federation of India, in-charge (J&K) and Member Sports Council Jammu and Kashmir was awarded as 'Best Journalist'. Many other journalists too were awarded and they included some very famed ones and some really great ones too. There were others who too figured in this impressive list and these included, Prof. Neelu Rohmetra for full bright- Nehru Administration Award.
