Vijaypur, Dec 15: Advocating more powers to the security forces, Former Minister and senior Congress leader Manjit Singh today criticized those who want to cut short the powers of security forces in Jammu and Kashmir.
"Instead of snatching powers, the army and other para military forces needs to be given more powers to curve anti national activities," Singh said.
The former Minister was speaking in a function at Chak Pambo village near International Border (IB) organised to pay homage Second Lt. Caption Bahadur Singh was martyred in 1971 war with Pakistan.
Singh, while recalling the supreme sacrifices, said the border people in Army/para military forces have laid their lives, while the people living on International Border have also made nation proud with their sacrifices and patriotism. |
