| 8th class examination toppers’ name not published in DIET gazette in Doda | | | Early times report
DODA, Dec 15: District Institute of Education and Technology without any directions from DIET, Jammu has declared result of 8th class examination of various zones but decided against publishing names of 8th class toppers of district Doda this year which has created resentment among the students and parents.
They have declared the move of DIET, Doda unfortunate and a move to snub the morale of students.
"We have decided that no names of the toppers of the 8th class examination of this year of Doda district would be published and we have also decided not publish the result in news papers as we have issued Gazettes to all zones and officers, DIET principal Doda Krishan Lal Parihar said while replying query.
He said the decision was taken by a committee here at Doda and we have also instructions from higher ups not to publish the name of toppers in Gazettes and also not to give result to news papers for publication .Where as when this reporter contacted Joint Director DIET ,Jammu Dev Raj Kakroo he confirmed that there is no any such instructions Principal DIET Doda as it is our moral duty to publish the names of 8th class examination toppers in Gazette as it will definitely boost the morale of students and we also have policy in department to award cash and other prizes to topper and meritorious students. |
