Brig Sharma inspects road works in Doda, Bhaderwah
Describes completion of all ongoing works a big challenge

Bhaderwah, Dec 15: Chief Engineer, Project Beacon of Border Roads Organisation (BRO), Brig A K Sharma today inspected road works in Doda and Bhaderwah areas and discussed the problems being faced by GREF men in the execution of work especially on Bhaderwah-Bani road in district Doda.
Accompanied by GREF officials, Ashwani Kumar and Assistant Engineer, Brig Sharma during his two day visit inspected progress of work on Batote-Kishtwar, Puldoda-Bhaderwah, Bhaderwah-Bani and Kahila-Jangalwar roads.
He also asked his men to expedite the pace of work on these roads. The CE also inspected work on Chakka and Dandi bridges. He was informed that work on Amira Nagar Bridge would not be taken up due to some land acquisition issue and will be started when the issue is settled. He expressed satisfaction over the quality of work being executed by the 114 RCC on Bani road.Talking to media persons Brig Sharma informed that ongoing work on Bhaderwah Bani road is in progress and will be completed within time limit as work on the same road is very difficult as weather is not feasible all times as our men got limited time in a year because this is snow bound area described this project a big challenge.
He also informed that good contractors are not willing to work in Chenab region as this is far flung area and previously militancy has also disturbed the various ongoing developmental work of Beacon in whole state and also in Chenab valley . He also said that Beacon believe in quality work so construction work of bridges on Bhaderwah -Doda road is being delay and also informed that they have make a plan this year so that Jammu-Srinagar NH will remain open during snow days of this winter and sophisticated machinery will be used.
He also informed that Kishtwar-Sintahan road is complete but only 18 KM patch is still pending due to early snow fall this year on the same road .Brig also informed that Srinagr-Leh Ladakh NH will be closed soon for traffic movement as road is in deteriorating condition in some parts as advised passengers to travel on Srinagar Kadakh highway only in emergency circumstances and added that Beacon is also going to construct five to six tunnels in state like Zojala etc etc etc and also said we want to keep open Srinagr Leeh road whole year.
