5 day long 'Civil Defence Camp' concludes

Jammu, Dec 18: A five days Basic Civil Defence Training Programme organized by the NSS Unit of Chenab College of Education concluded here today in college premises.
The camp organized in collaboration with the Civil Defence organization, under the guidance of Deputy Controller Civil Defence Jammu Parveen Singh Deputy Superintendent of Police and was inaugurated by a team office of Civil Defence organization which was headed by Alok Nanda Deputy Divisional Warden and R. Vijay Magotra Deputy Divisional Warden.
NSS volunteers participated in this camp organized with an aim to educate the students about preventive measures to be taken during disasters like earth quake, fire incidents and other natural and manmade calamities.
During the concluding occasion Varinder Gupta Director of BIMTAS welcomed Parveen Singh while mementoes to the special invitees presented by Principal Mrs. Kamaldeep Kaur The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks by the N.S.S Programme officer Shivani Abrol.
