| JKPCC welcomes passage of Lokpal Bill | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Dec 19: Welcoming the passage of Lokpal Bill in parliament, Jammu and Kashmir Pardesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) secretary Manohar Singh hailed AICC president Sonia Gandhi, AICC Vice president Rahul Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who have played key role and made sincere efforts to get this bill passed. Addressing media persons, Singh said that there was a need to launch a decisive war against corruption in the country and the passing of bill towards the eradication the menace of corruption would bring transparency in the government and in its entire department but lot more needed to be done. Meanwhile, the Youth Congress leader Parmjit Singh Puma also appreciated the Congress led UPA government to make the history in Indian system by bringing Lokpal bill to curb the corruption. He said that today the corruption in rampant and its deep rooted has engulfed entire country due to which the common man are forced to face severe hardships but with this bill the corruption could be arrested up to some extent. He said the Congress has already been fighting against the corruption menace since long and passing of this giant bill has proved the sincerity and honesty of the congress towards protection of common masses from the cruel hands of corruption. |
